Scince Supports the Prophet's hadith on the Development of the Human Embryo ,,

The Prophet (saw) said:
"After 42 nights of forming the zygote "nutfah" God sends an angel to it to shape (make its features), hearing, vision, skin, flesh, and after that the bones. ‘Oh God’, the angel asks, "male or female …"

Historical background
Embryology is a modern science that is mainly connected with the study of the development of human embryo, and only came to light a few decades ago. There had been some human attempts to understand the development of human embryos inside mothers' wombs in human history, but all, according to modern science, are proved to be incorrect.
The first study was made by Aristotle in the 4th century BC. He made theories according to some comparative observations that he made on birds; the final conclusion he reached, which was published in his book, was that the human embryo is formed from mixing the man's sperm with the monthly blood of women. This was incorrect information that found its way into the Bible.
Information about embryo development remained clouded with superstition till the end of the seventeenth century and the beginning of the eighteenth century, when the first microscope was invented.
Though still not sophisticated enough, this microscope gave us some good information about the development of cells on the human embryo.
The staging of human embryos was not proposed until the 1942 by Streeter, and the stages as we know them now were not adopted worldwide until a few decades ago. (Keith Moor)
It should be noted that the scientific statements in the Prophetic Hadith and the Holy Qur’an give the crucial evidence to the truthfulness of the prophethood of Muhammad, and to the divine source of his message, especially for the generations that would live in the age of science. People at the time of the prophet were not concerned with these things simply because such things never occupied them, nor did they have the scientific method by which they could judge the Prophet's (saw) words about such scientific minute details.
The greatness of Islam is that it gives evidence to its divine source according to what humanity excelled in it.

Modern science supports the Prophet's hadith
"After 42 nights of forming the zygote "nutfah" God sends an angel to it to shape (make its features), hearing, vision, skin, flesh, and after that the bones. ‘Oh God’, the angel asks, "male or female …"

So, according to the prophet's words, Prophet Muhammad (saw), by God's guidance, determined the period when a fetus takes its human form. According to the hadith, the point in time in which a fetus develops into a human shape is after forty two days. Embryological observations, aided with scientific research, affirm that a human fetus can't be distinguished from other fetuses such as chicken, fish etc in the very early stages of fetus development or in other words all the fetuses of some animals are similar in the very early stages of development to the extent that we could not tell which is the human fetus if we compared all of them.
The Prophetic Hadith gives a special significance to the forty second day during a woman’s gestation; it can be understood that this day is a point in time that can divide the gestation period into two parts; the first of which is that period in which the human embryo has no human features, and the second is the period in which the human embryo acquires the human features.
It is now scientifically proven, that the embryo of a human and the embryos of some animals are of the same external shape, so that one can't tell which is which. Moreover, science defines the forty second day as the beginning of the embryo assuming the human features.
 The embryological development
So according to this Hadith the human embryo has the same external features of some animal fetus and it is only after the first forty two days that the human fetus begin to acquire the human physical appearances.
Note that  the hadith not only refers to shaping or modeling the fetus in human shape, but also refers to the development of the embryo's organs into its final stages, and shape after the forty two days of gestation. The Prophetic Hadith refers to the completion of the eye, the completion of the ears, the skin, flesh and bones.
It is scientifically proven that after the forty second day, the eyes move to the front of the face in their correct position, and the face acquires a human shape. Moreover the eyes’ stalks that connected them to the brain begin to develop, and the retina becomes light sensitive, the cornea also begins to appear.
After the forty second day, the internal and external parts of the ear are created; its shape is extremely similar to that of the human being.
As for the limbs, though they start to make their appearance in the 4th week, they acquire the same shape of the humans'; they become longer, and the fingers and the toes which were not present before, become clearly defined after forty two days.
After the forty second day the skin separates into its layers, and we see the creation of the sweat glands. The functionality of the skin nerves also develop and the skin becomes sensitive to pain and temperature, which is evidence that points to innervations.
As for the bones, it is known that cartilaginous skeleton is formed then ossified in the seventh week; these bones are surrounded with muscles, which are referred to by the word “flesh” in the eighth week. The emergence of the stage of bones helps to straighten and smooth the embryo body.
Male or female?
Since the hadith talks about shaping the embryo into a human being, the part of the hadith which mentions "male or female,” will of course be connected with shaping the external organs for the embryo. It is scientifically established that the external genitalia are not clearly distinguishable as male or female until the 12th week. Since there is delay in the occurrence of the emerging of the male and the female organs, the Prophet (saw) used the word "Thoma" which implies a larger time passing than the word "and."

Bible Compared to Holy Quran1..~

Based on transcripts of various lectures
by Yusuf Estes & Dr. Gary Miller

Introduction by Yusuf Estes -
It should be stated at the outset of this work, that Muslims do not seek to put down or desecrate the Holy Bible. It is a matter critical matter of faith for Muslims to believe in the original revelations that came down to Moses, David, Solomon and Jesus, just as it is is important for Muslims to believe in the revelation of the Quran that came to Muhammad, peace be upon him. The key word here however, is "original." As we all know the origin of the Bible is clouded with centuries of copying, translating and passing down information, now long lost with only copies of manuscripts remaining to remind us of what once was the Bible.
Additionally, it should be noted that Muslims do not seek to destroy the Christians or Jews belief in the Word of God, rather it is an obligation for Muslims to call to what is right and to halt that which is evil. Certainly, causing the "People of the Book" (as the Quran refers to Christians and Jews) to fall into disbelief and leave off any faith in God at all, is the very opposite of the direction Muslims should take in presenting any comparison between Islam and what has come down in the past from the Almighty God. We only seek to bring about more light to the people seeking guidance and pray for all of us to be successful with our Lord in this life and in the Next life and we ask His Guidance and Support in doing so, ameen.
THE BIBLE
 [Yusuf Estes]

Old Testament
There exists today a number of different versions in the ancient Hebrew language of the Jewish Book called the Torah [Law] and this is usually referred to in Christianity as The Old Testament. Naturally, there have been many different translations to a great number of languages over the centuries and one could not expect them to be identical in text or meaning. What we have in English today still remains somewhat similar to large amounts of these older documents.

New Testament
There are also different versions of the Gospel or what is commonly called The New Testament in the Koine Greek language and Latin and these also have many translations to even other langugaes. Even amongst the English translations there are great differences. To mention two very clear differences for example; the Catholic Bible [c. 325 A.D] contains 73 books in total, while the Protestant Bible contains only 66 books, and although the newer (Protestant version) was taken from the Catholic Bible even then these books do not match completely with each other. There is no common denominator for any of the many different versions of the Bible.

 Dead Sea Scrolls
There have been a number of scrolls and parchments found in places surrounding what we call the "Holy Land" over the centuries, not the least of which are those often referred to as the "Dead Sea Scrolls" or as they are known to the scholars "Wadi Qumran Scrolls." These were discovered in the last century around 1930 and have been proven to be very ancient and could well be older than any other extant manuscripts. Much of what has been translated from these scrolls is similar to some of the oldest manuscripts, but there are still very important differences worthy of note. We would like to recommend some important reading on this topic at the end of this paper.

Prophet Muhammad: Infinite patience..~ PART ONE

Prophet Muhammad: Infinite patience
PART ONE
The touchstone of a true prophet is always is his loyalty, devotion
and his readiness to sacrifice his happiness
, and even his life, to achieve his call and impart God's word.
Contrary to the true prophet, a false prophet is one who claims prophethood for mundane benefits; his concern is always to seek fame, authority and power. His teachings are always obscure, though sometimes mixed with morals and sometimes tainted with misconception about the basics of a true religion.
A false prophet, even if he seems to promote a divine call, never succeeds, because it is not logically accepted that God would allow a person to do such things in His name.
There is no reference throughout history to a false prophet who successfully established a false religion, simply because he would profess in God's name though God did not appoint him as a prophet, so God would reveal his lies.
If a false prophet is faced with hardships, afflictions, attempts on his life and some failures, he would certainly waive his call. Historical archives are full of stories of those false prophets who would leave their calls when they would be afflicted with any problem. On the other hand, the true prophet would always remain steady, strong and ready to give his life to impart God's word. Prophets were always persecuted, tortured and even killed.
Among the prophets, the Prophet Muhammad (saw) stands as the one who was afflicted most, yet his soul was indefatigable,
the one who was persecuted most, yet he adhered to his call,
the one who was tortured most yet his he never lost spirit,
the one who faced  more attempts on his life yet he remained, brave and never cared about the swords and daggers hidden everywhere awaiting him.
He alone faced a world of idolaters, never-ended grudge and rancour.
Prophet Muhammad's name is equal to patience, infinite patience.
He had no certain goal for himself, he abhorred wealth though he didn't ban it.
He never despaired, he never slackened, but rather within only twenty three years, he changed a nation of polytheists into a civilized nation of monotheists, who carried his teachings to the world.
The Prophet Muhammad (saw) was born an orphan, poor and never indulged himself in worldly desires during his boyhood, nor did he play with his comrades in their games. When he became a prophet, he was tortured, persecuted, and he faced murder six times. He spent all his wealth on the poor and his call, and he would spend three months living on water and dry dates. If he could not find any dates, he would fast and he would put a rope around his stomach to kill the pains of hunger. His bed was a carpet made of straw, and his pillow was filled with poor fibers that always left impressions on his skin. There was only two dirham in his house when he died, and even then he was worried about what to do with them, and kept asking his wife to give them in charity.

The importance of prayer in Muslim’s life

Revised By Magdy Abd Al-Shafy

The second pillar of Islam is salat, the requirement to pray five times a day at fixed times. [24] [25] Each salat is performed facing towards the Kaba in Mecca.
[24] However, in the early days of Islam prior to the hijra and until the beginning of the seventh month after hijra Muslims offered salat facing towards Jerusalem. [26] Salat is intended to focus the mind on God; it is a personal communication with God, expressing gratitude and worship.[24] According to the Qur'an (29:40) the benefit of prayer "restrains [one] from shameful and evil deeds"[25]. Salat is compulsory but there are flexibilities under certain circumstances. [27] For example in the case of sickness or lack of space, a worshipper can offer salat while sitting or even lying, and the prayer can be shortened when travelling. [27]

The salat must be performed in the Arabic language to the best of each worshipper's ability (although the du'a afterwards need not be in Arabic), and the lines are to be recited by heart, although beginners may use written aids. The worshipper's body and clothing, as well as the place of prayer, must be cleansed. [27] All salat should be conducted within the prescribed time period or waqt and with the appropriate number of raka'ah. While prayers may be made at any point within the waqt, it is considered best to begin them as soon as possible after the call to prayer is heard. When a worshipper is too far from a mosque to hear a call to prayer, the time may be inferred from the position of the sun in the sky.[citation needed]

Verses from the Holy Quran
[13:15] To GOD prostrates everyone in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and the evenings.
[16:49] To GOD prostrates everything in the heavens and everything on earth - every creature - and so do the angels; without the least arrogance.
[22:18] Do you not realize that to GOD prostrates everyone in the heavens and the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the animals, and many people? Many others among the people are committed to doom. Whomever GOD shames, none will honor him. Everything is in accordance with GOD's will.

The importance of prayer
Prayer in Islam has a great importance, this can proved by the following:
1- It is the second element of Islam.
2- It is the first thing to be asked about on the day of resurrection , if prayer is accepted then all man’s work will be accepted and if it is not accepted all his work will not be accepted either.
3- It is a distinguishing sign for pious (devoted) believers as Allah says: “and perform prayer “( surat Al-Bakkara/ verse 3).
4- This who preserves prayer preserves his religion, and this who abandons it loses his religion.
5- Islam is in man’s heart as far as prayer is in his heart and his share in Islam equals his share of prayer.
6- It is a sign of loving Allah and appreciating His Blessings.
7- Allah The Almighty ordered us to preserve it whether we are traveling or staying, during war and peace and whether we are ill or healthy.
8- Texts declare that who abandons prayer is a disbeliever (an atheist). Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said “what lies between a man and atheism is abandoning prayer “(Musli
“(Muslim accounts) and said “prayer is the commitment between us, who abandons it disbelieves - becomes a disbeliever or becomes an atheist – (Ahmad and people of norms “sunan” account). When this who abandons prayer dies he is considered an atheist, he is not washed nor enshrouded, no one prays for him, he is not buried in Muslims’ graves, his relatives do not inherit from him and his money goes to beit al-mal (where the money of Muslim states is kept) in addition to other similar provisions that apply to those who abandon prayer.
yes , even high over the clouds moslems do the prayer ; they seek the pleasure of Allah and the peace of mind

God says in the Holy Quran what means " Men whom neither merchandise nor sale beguileth from remembrance of Allah and constancy in prayer and paying to the poor their due; who fear a day when hearts and eyeballs will be overturned"(24:37.)

Even children like to do it , prophet Mohummed ordered that children should be learnt how to pray .

No matter where they are , they like it . It brings them close to God

Nothing beguiles them .They never forget their connection with God . The spiritual feeling in their heart search for a way to materialize and the best is the Moslem prayer

yes , they are at war ; they may have been angry , they may have been thirsty , they may have missed their family ; they may have been at feart of the horrible distructive weapons and nothing can relieve these pains but Salat . It is true , when you do the Moslem prayer you feel you entity close to God - it is something that beggers description

perhaps , they were about to travel ; perhaps they had short time but what could quench the love of Allah but the Moslem prayer ?!!!

Wait , wait -where are they ? though it is not incumbent in such a situation , but they refuse to miss the contact with God . How lovely

One of the merits Islam that God vouchsafed on us is that He made the earth a place suitable to prayer , prophet Mohummed says " wherever the time for the prayer comes upon you , perform the prayer ; for all the earth is a place of worshipping for you.

They fear none but God . What on earth could prevent a true believer from doing prayer ? They should understand what Islam is ; how could be a person who is in complete submission to God be a terrorist ?!!

See how long the row is , see how much they adhere to God's injunctions ; think what made those people to stop their cars to do the prayer . Though they could deter the prayer till they go home , they wish nothing but the contact of God , in their daily life they aspire for nothing but God's pleasure . yes , to them life should stop and their love and sbmission to God go -How beautiful this life is!! how beautiful is the land where they prostrate themselves - Those are the Moslems who never forget their Creator.

The mosque is completely filled , those Moslem take a place around the mosque to do their prayers . Prostration is a symbole of the complete submission and humilityto God , In moslem 's humility a declaration of no greatness but to Allah , self-conceit and self-importance die away .

When things are down
And you are out of your mind
Just Remember Allah is The Merciful .

When your life is in darkness
And nothing is right
Just Remember
Through the darkness, Allah is The Light.

When nothing makes sense
And your heading for demise
Just Remember
It doesn't make sense, but Allah is The Wise.

When times are troubled
And no one seems to care
Just Remember, that Allah wil care .

When your heart is breaking
And your pain makes you fall
Just Remember, Allah relieves it all.

When you are weak
And the road seems long
Just Remember, Seek strength from The Strong.

When life is a burden
And everything is unstable
Just Remember, Allah is The Able.

When the way is cloudy
And there is no one by your side
Just Remember, Allah is The Only Guide.

When no one wants to listen
Or is willing to lend an ear
Just Remember, Allah is always ready to hear.

When you are poor and penniless
And you are stuck in a niche
Just Remember, Allah is The Rich.

When you are down in your misery
And there is nowhere to run
Just Remember,
You can always run to The One.

When you r all alone
And your pain has no end
Just Remember, Allah is the only one you can depend.

And when your scars are hurting
And your heart is in fear
Just Remember, Allah is really here

They pray while another soldier defends their back - In such an extreme cold , they never forget to pray , they need the prayer that relieve thier pains .with hearts filled with love and wormth , they have prostrated themselves to God on the icy land .

Sajdah is a unique position or stance in the regular prayers, which a Muslim is supposed to offer at least five times a day. Although the basic purpose of obligatory prayers is not to provide an exercise for people yet it is being increasingly recognized that it has plenty of medical advantages for the human body. Here it is worth mentioning that Holy Prophet Muhammad has mentioned in a hadith in Ibn Majah that prayer is a cure for many diseases. The fact is that a person who offers his prayers regularly that too in the mosque is protected from many diseases which he many not even know.

The position of Sajdah in which the forehead touches the earth is exclusively associated with the Muslim form of prayer. It is the climax of a Muslim's prayer and as mentioned in a Hadith a Muslim is nearest to Allah in this position.

Abu Huraira (radiAllahu anhu) reported that the messenger of Allah said:
"The nearest a servant comes to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself, so make supplication (in this state)"
[Sahih al-Bukhari]

A'ishah Siddiqa (radiAllahu anha) narrates that Holy Prophet used to prolong the prostration to such an extent that one could recite fifty verses (of the Qur'an) before he would lift his head
[Sahih al-Bukhari]

In another Hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik (radiAllahu anhu) the Holy Prophet advised Muslims to perform Ruku (bowing) and Sajdah properly.

In another Hadith he advised to perform Sajdah and Bowing calmly and to get up only when the body has come to ease.

In supplication for the victory, He also performed long bowing (Ruku) and Sajdah in the special prayers at the time of eclipse. Hence the first positive effect upon a person who prostrates or does Sajdah is that he comes nearest to Allah and hence in that condition he can supplicate. This is a great psychological advantage and it gives relief to the person concerned as life is full of worries and in this position he gets at least a transient refuge from the agonizing problems. When a person goes to the position of prostration Sajdah his whole body is in active motion. This position can be considered as a mini dive as the musalli (one who offers prayer) goes to rest his forehead on the ground while his hands are placed at the sides. This brings most of the body muscles if not all in active motion and serves to give them some exercise.

The hands are then specifically stretched out and thence the forearm as well as arm muscles are supposed to bear the weight in the Sajdah position. It gives good exercise to the muscles of the upper limb. Holy Prophet in a hadith advised not to put the forearms flatly on the ground but to keep them elevated above ground and this is better for the forearm and arm muscles.

Sajdah is a unique position as this is the only position in which brain (or head) becomes lower than the heart and hence for the first time the blood gushes towards the brain with full force whereas in all other positions (even when lying) brain is above the heart when it has to work against gravity to send blood to the brain.

In the position of Sajdah due to the increased blood supply the brain receive more nourishment and it has good effect upon memory, vision, hearing, concentration, psyche and all other cognitive abilities. People who offer their prayers regularly have more will power and can cope with the difficulties of life in a much better manner. They have less incidence of headaches, psychological problems and other defects of cognitive function.

In the unique position of Sajdah the neck muscles get best exercise. They have to bear the load when the forehead lies at the ground hence the neck muscles become stronger. One can note the tense pressure at the neck muscles in the position of Sajdah specially the active motion of the neck and the facial muscles when the head is being lifted. (e.g. one inch above the ground) and it will be noticed that they are in a very active motion.

More strong cervical muscles mean the cervical vertebra will be better protected. Strength of cervical muscles is important as the head rests upon cervical vertebra supported by cervical musculature.

In fact head performs rotator movements over the cervical vertebra. In any accident cervical neck examination is especially important to the physicians because of its extraordinary importance.

It is uncommon that a person who offers his prayers regularly will get the usual neck myalgias or cervical spondylosis as the neck muscles particularly become very strong due to the 34 sajdahs offered daily in five prayers.

Position of Sajdah is also said to be a good treatment for the retroversion of uterus, a disease of women.

Most of us do not know that the position of Sajdah is an excellent exercise for men (for manpower). It may be a good information to the Viagra dependents. While getting up from Sajdah the perinneal muscles are one of those muscles which have to pull the trunk back to sitting position and they contract actively. Similarly while standing up from Sajdah the perennial muscles are again actively mobilised and this gives much strength to the muscles important for manpower.

The unique position of Sajdah also has positive effects upon the back muscles as while going into Sajdah and getting up from it the back muscle contract actively and they become stronger. Probably it is because of this reason that a person who is regular in prayers will uncommonly get backache.

After performing Sajdah either the musalli stands up or he sits to pray Attahiyyat. In this position the person sits calmly while his hands rest at his thighs which are folded backwards. This is much similar to the relaxation position of Yoga and has soothing effect upon one's health and mentation.

Holy Prophet Muhammad used to elongate the position of Ruku (bending) and Sajdah positions and he advised to do so. In the light of the above facts it is appropriate to say that from medical point of view as well this advice is a golden rule for health.

Finally it must be reminded that prayer is not meant to be an exercise. However there are a lot of medical advantages associated with it.
Still the best blessing is the peace of mind, which a person derives by the accomplishment of his duty to Allah by fulfilling an obligation.

They are not playing , look at their face ; with eyes downwards , with heads bowing they submit themselves to God - Kids but with hearts of men

Man can be closest to God only when prostrating himself

~..? Did the prophet copy the Holy Quran from the Holy Book

By Magdy Abd Al-Shafy
The enemies of Islam claim that the prophet of islam copied the Holy Quran from the HolyBook. There are a lot of reasons and pieces of evidence thatrefute this groundless claim.
Mohummed[p]was illiterate ,who could not read nor could he write nor had he been in contact with any Christian or Judaic authority .
Furthermore, the assertion ofJudeo-Christian borrowing raises a number of questions. JamalBadawi puts forward the following six questions:
"Why is it in spite of theabundance of historical material on Muhammad(P)'s life, and inspite of the extensive research on his life for centuries by hissevere critics, that it was not possible to discover themysterious teacher(s) through whom Muhammad(P) might have learnedall that?
It is known that Muhammad(P) was opposed, ridiculed and persecuted for nearly 13 years by his owncontemporaries. With this magnitude of severe enemies, was it not possible for them to prove to the masses that Muhammad(P)'s claimof revelation was sheer fabrication? Was it not possible for themto reveal and name the person whom they alleged to be the human source or sources of his teachings? Even some of his adversaries who had made this assertion, changed their minds later on andaccused him, instead, of magic or being possessed by evil... etc.Muhammad(P) was raised among hispeople and every aspect of his life was exposed to them, especially by the openness that characterizes tribal life in thedesert. How could the multitudes of his contemporaries, includingmany of his close relatives who knew him so well, how could theybelieve in his truthfulness if they had any doubt that he wasclaiming credit for ideas taught to him by some other teachers without bothering to give them credit?
What kind of teacher might have taught Muhammad(P) a coherent and complete religion that changed the face of history? Why didn't he or they (if any) speak againstthe alleged student who continued learning from them, whileignoring them and claiming some other divine source for his teachings?
How could many Jews and Christians amongst his contemporaries become Muslims and believe in his truthfulness if they knew he was copying from their scriptures or learning from their priests or rabbis?
It is known that some of the Qur'anic revelations to Muhammad(P) were revealed in the presence of people. The Qur'ân was revealed over the span of 23 years, where then that was mysterious, perhaps invisible teacherof Muhammad(P)? How could he have hidden himself for so long? Or how could Muhammad(P) who was constantly surrounded by companions, how was he able to make frequent secret visits to that mysterious teacher or teachers for 23 years without even being caught once?
The answer to all these questions are never given. But the Christian missionaries' logic is that still Muhammad(P) borrowed from the Judeo-Christian sources even though there is no evidence to show. What you do not know, you do not have to show; just say it and it becomes so."
Karen Armstrong in her book A History Of God writes about the revelation to the Prophet Muhammadby God.
In about the year 610 an Arab merchant of the thriving city of Mecca in Hijaz, who had neverread the Bible and probably never heard of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, had an experience that was uncannily similar to theirs.
Roger DuPasquier, a Swiss journalist and author, asserts that;
To this day no-one has put forward a defensible explanation of how an unlettered caravan merchant of the early seventh century might have been able, by his own devices, to produce a text of such inimitable beauty, of such capacity to stir emotion, and which contained knowledge and wisdom which stood so far above the ideas current among mankind at that time. The studies carried out in the West which try to determine the 'sources used by Muhammad', or to bring to light the psychological phenomenon which enabled him to draw theinspiration from his 'subconscious', have demonstrated only one thing: the anti-Muslim prejudice of their authors. We still want to add some questions that need to be answered.
If Mohammad borrowed from Judeo-Christian sources,
Why does the Holy Quran scold them for the interpolations they inserted in their books and then copy from them?
If Mohammed had been copied fromthe Holy Book , he would not have scolded them at least toescape their objections and to win them for his side at least to avoid any confrontation with them.
Those who claim that Mohammed copied from the scripture
should tell us where was thattranslated copy that he copied from , according to thehistorical authority , there was not any translated copy in the time of the prophet Mohammed or even long after his death?
If the Holy Quran copied from the Bible , why does the Holy Quran launch this fierce critique against the Bible concerning the story of Trinity in the Bible but even renounces this fact and most strikingly shows them thesource from which they got the concept of Trinity .
The Holy Quran says : ….The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old."
Recent studies and exploration into the ancient religions prove that there were sixteen saviors in the human history , all of them were long anterior of Jesus ,many of the sayings that they ascribe to Jesus were found in the ancient heathen religions?
Did Mohammed explore and study the ancient religions and come to the conclusion that the concept of Trinity was inserted in the Christianity.
If he was an imposter why did he reject this concept and even corrected it giving good reasons?
If Mohummed [p] had copied from the holy book, why did he not copy the story of creation in Genesis , the story of creation in the Holy Quran is mentioned in a way that is completely in agreement with the newly discovered facts. ( Big Bang ,expansion of the universe and the Big crunch is mentioned in the Holy Quran ).Moreover the Holy Quran gives an account to the stories of the prophets and the perished nationsin a way that fills you with ecstasy , sometimes you find theHoly Quran in agreement with some parts of the Holy Books andthen in disagreement with other parts .The story of Joseph is the best example , if you compare these holy books(Pseudepigrapha ,Talmud, Targum ,Midrash) together concerning the story of Joseph you will find a lot ofcontradictions between them and then if you include the Holy Quran you will find that the Holy Quran is in conformity with them in the most reasonable parts ,i.e, it is in agreement withthis part in this book while it is in disagreement with anotherpart in the same book and then you find it in agreement with another book concerning the part it is already in disagreement with the previous one . Did Mohammed read all of these bookstogether? What was that historical criterion on which he based his copy? What litmus paper did he have to check which is valid and which is not? Moreover , the Quranic story is always complete though condensed in a few lines that are replete with meanings that can be classified under many tenets .
The Quranic story moves yourheart , fills your eyes with tears , adds spiritual dimensions , set the best examples for the believers to follow when being confronted with hardships of life , The Quranic stories havetheir distinguishing character . The main purpose of the Quranic story is.
Correcting the errors and adulteration in the Holy Book.
Deeming the prophets high and exonerating them from what they were charged with .Giving the Moslems exemplars to follow
Teaching wisdom and moral lessons.
Showing that it is only one God who revealed these holy Books.
Setting the examples of the perished nations for the Moslem,
So many could be said in this context but for the sake of brevity .
Enhancing and reinforcing the Moslems will in face of hardships.
Concerning the point of copying from the Holy Book, A Christian scholar , now a Moslem, says in his book "I recognized that there were two possibilities:
(1) the Prophet Muhammad didsteal his material or
(2) the revelation he received was from the same god who sent Moses, Jesus and the earlier prophets, as the Prophet Muhammad himself claimed. If it werethe latter, it would explain why there would be much overlap in the teachings and message. The same God sent the earlier prophets and is simply recounting their stories again in the new revelation.
However, I immediately started tonotice some glaring differences between the Quran and the Bible, even with respect to the teachings about God. If the Prophet Muhammad was “editing” what he was hearing from the Bible—and by the way, at that time, there was no Bible available in Arabic—then he was doing an excellent job.
I found that the strange teachings about God that one finds throughout the Bible are completely and unequivocally missing from the Quran. For the sake of brevity, only a few examples illustrating this point shall be given.
The New International Version of Genesis 3:8-11, reads,“Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. (9) But the LORD God called to the man, “Where are you?” (10) He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” 11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
Here, God is pictured as walking in the garden in the cool of the day. What is even more astonishing is that Adam and Eve were able to hide from God and he had to ask, “Where are you?” If a human is able to hide from Him in the garden, how is it that this Lord is going to have knowledge of the sins that people commit? It would be difficult for any human to gender in his heart the kind of love and fear of God that he should have when he believes that his God is so faulty and weak that an event like this could occur to him.
In Genesis 32:24-28, there is the story and literal description of Jacob wrestling with and defeating God. In verse 28, it says,
“You [Jacob] have wrestled withGod and with men, and you have won.” In other words, the creator of the universe whom mankind is expected to worship and submit to was defeated by a mere mortal in a wrestling match.
The Old Testament even picturesGod as one who intended to do evil but then repented. Exodus32:14states:
“And the Lord repented of theevil which he thought to do unto his people” (KingJames Version). It would not be surprising for anyone to turn away from God and not consider Him worthy of worship if He himself has to repent from His own evil.
The Old and New Testamentsdistort the image of the prophets and defame them. Some prophetsgot drunk! Some showed their nakedness to others! Some pretendfoolishness! And some fornicate and commit adultery!
In the Qur'an, these distortions are non-existent. The reader to the Qur'an will find continuous glorification to the prophets of God because they are the `God-Elects' and they are the most righteous of all men.
The story of creation and human history in the Old Testament contradicts the most basic science findings.
In the Qur'an, there are many verses of a scientific nature that discuss the creation, the development of the embryo, the origin of fresh underground water, and other physical and scientific phenomena that were discovered hundreds of years after the revelation of the Qur'an. None of these verses contradict any of the proven scientific facts.
Now, if the Qur'an had a Jewish-Christian' origin, one would expect to find in the Qur'an the same errors and distortions that are in the Old and New Testaments. The question that must be asked here: how could Muhammad correct the distortions in the Old and New Testaments?
Another more question is that "How can you interpret the existence of some stories which were not mentioned in the widely-known bibles but only found insome codices that were found recently , these were not known tothe contemporary Christians of prophet Mohammed ,moreover they were in languages that were at that time defunct . Did Mohammedread the Pseudepigrapha which was not known to his contemporary Christians.
Did Mohammed read the Red Sea scroll , which remained hidden in one of the caves of the Dead sea and only were found in the 1948 ?Did Mohammed read the codices of Naga Hamadi in Egypt and that were only found a few years ago?
Did Mohummed read the Bible of Judas which was found recently in Egypt and only translated into English a few years ago in US . This bible in conformity with the Holy Quran concerning the story of Crucifixion , it states thatit was not Jesus who was crucified and some one else was.
Did Mohammed know all of these languages that these codices were written in?
These books were written on leather , so huge and so easily to be notices by his enemies who were searching for any proof against his prophethood.
The similarity between the Holy Quran and the Holy Book doesn't mean that the Holy Quran borrows from them , it means that both came from the same source.
Does Similarities imply borrowing ?
Let's start with an example. Prophet Noah(P)was given certain commandments. So was Prophet Moses(P)after him. If we were to see that the followers of Prophet Noah (P)accusing of the followers of Prophet Moses(P), how do we expect the followers of Prophet Moses(P) to respond? We might hear a response like this
The Law has come from the same source (from the one and only God),Of course we would expect similar teachings and not such as God is a twin or has a daughterfrom eternity etc. Any differences from absolute similarities would mean correction of the message that got corrupted .Any other differences would mean additional Law with the newer revelation.
The new revelation from the same source comes with its own proof and evidences, otherwise anyone can attempt to invent 'revelation' (while not coming from that same source - God) and mislead many thereby. If there were no proofs or evidences then how can someone verify its truthfulness and authenticity, believe in it and accept it ?
We will thus see that the emphasis shifts to verifying the inherent proofs or evidences of the fresh revelation when older (or traces of the older) revelation still exists. Therefore, similarity between two revelations can even imply that the later revelation is from God.
